Most of you, if not all, are familiar with the LGBT flag, but do you know the story behind it?
Well... in 1978 an artist from San Francisco named Gilbert Baker designed the flag with several colors symbolizing the diversity in the gay community.
Originally it consisted in 8 colors, but pink and turquoise were removed due to production purposes, it currently consists of 6 colors, each one with a meaning attached to it:
RED - LIFE
ORANGE - HEALING
YELLOW - SUNLIGHT
GREEN - NATURE
BLUE - HARMONY
PURPLE/VIOLET - SPIRIT
